Everything I’ve done musically, for free.

Picture 065I'm not going to lie, I download music all the time. And not from ITunes.  More and more from the bowels of the internet.  But also from great sites like Sordo Music, where local and independent bands share their music for free.  Music to me is something that is sacred that you cannot (and shouldn't) attach a dollar sign to. Humans have been making music for thousands of years before someone had to go and screw with it. We should be taking it back from the copy cat, cookie cutter music industry and putting it back in the hands of the artists and fans to control. And why not make it free? My post last night got me thinking, "Why should I put up just one album? Why don't I just put up everything I've ever done?". Well here you are. Everything I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of musically. I've met a lot of great people, had some really good times, played shows all over the place, and made memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. And I have music to thank for that. So download all you want and if you like it, throw a couple bucks my way to help with the hosting, or click on the Google ads below, or just take it all for free. Whatever you want to do is fine with me.  Click on the links or album covers to download the entire albums in mp3 format (bitrates vary), or click the play buttons on select tracks to stream songs so you can check some of them out before you download.  Thanks for visiting the site and thanks for listening!

6 Second Crush - A Lesson In Burning Bridges (2005)
cover

This was the final incarnation of 6 Second Crush consisting of myself, Thom Buckwalter on bass, Chris Trumpower on guitar, and Phil Jacobs on drums.  This was my favorite recording that we did.  Chris Scheidel again with his mad crazy recording skills recorded, mixed, and mastered it.  I thought the title track "A Lesson in Burning Bridges" came out spectacular, and is one of my favorite songs we did.

  1. Torture (4:30)
  2. High Maintenance (4:31)
  3. Duct Tape (4:34)
  4. Temper, Temper (4:25)
  5. A Lesson In Burning Bridges (4:08)

6 Second Crush - Live at The Corner Pocket (2004)
cover

Previously Unreleased.  Recorded by our buddy Chris at the Corner Pocket in Orange, CT. on 3/4/04.  John, Neal, and Thom were in the band for this recording and Chris did a decent job of capturing the raw sound of our live shows (though I sounded like shit that night).  We were regulars in this joint and played here often.  I have no clue if it's even open anymore.  One of the bartenders there liked to expose himself to women.  Dirty fuck.

  1. Wendy's Song (5:00)
  2. Helen of Troy (4:30)
  3. Summer Days (3:33)
  4. She Says (4:24)
  5. Words Unheard (3:00)
  6. Walk Away (4:40)
  7. #2 (4:45)

6 Second Crush - The #2 EP (2002)
cover

This was the 2nd incarnation of 6 Second Crush with myself, John Micalizzi on drums, Thom Buckwalter on bass, and Neal Pearson on guitar.  This was recorded in John's living room over Christmas break with Nolan and Mike bringing their gear over.  I think we payed $100 for it and was probably one of the better recordings we did, especially the title track, #2.

  1. Summer Days (3:43)
  2. Helen of Troy (4:22)
  3. #2 (4:41)

#2
Recorded, Mixed, & Mastered by Nolan Voss & Mike Tobin

6 Second Crush - Everything Fades Away (2001)
cover

Previously Unreleased.  This was the 1st incarnation of 6 Second Crush with myself, John Micalizzi on drums, Rich Massella on bass, and Anthony Lukac on guitar.  This was probably the 1 recording I was least happy with.  We were rushed into the studio, weren't prepared and it didn't help that the guys recording us were using a new recording & mixing program for the 1st time.  We also spent a TON of money for 3 songs.  The 4th "song" was actually a voicemail Anthony left on John's cell regarding yours truly, funny shit.

  1. Blood On Your Hands (4:02)
  2. 4th of July (4:31)
  3. Burn My Eyes (4:11)
  4. Pissed Off Anthony (1:00)

4th of July
Recorded, Mixed, & Mastered at Planet of Sound Recording Studios

DJ Hardbastard - Bad Kung Fu Movies (1999)
cover

Previously Unreleased.  My little techno/hip hop album. I came up with the name DJ Hardbastard after seeing a really cheesy kung-fu movie called "Hard Bastard" (remember ordering that one for me, Paul?).   Long before Fruity Loops there was MTV Music Generator.  All of these songs were made with that on my computer between my transition from Quadrafonic to 6 Second Crush when I couldn't find any people I wanted to work with and I needed to stay busy (some guy wanted me to jam out in his live-in hotel room playing Beatles songs).  I think some of the songs suck, but oh well, maybe someone will dig some of them.  If you like DJ Shadow and cheesy techno music, this would be right up your alley.

  1. Just Another Day (Remix) (5:12)
  2. Hitmen Theme (3:58)
  3. Eternity (5:07)
  4. Beginning and End (2:48)
  5. Eternity (Part 2) (3:53)
  6. Just Another Day (Demo) (6:26)

Just Another Day (Remix)
Created on mom & dad's Pentium 300.

Quadrafonic - Supermercado (1997)
cover

My 1st real band.  Nick Demet (guitar) and I joined Jay Soucy (drums) and Dave Robinson (bass) and we had some great times in this band.  Fernando DaSilva joined later on to take over bass duties while Dave moved to the 2nd guitarist spot.  This was my 1st experience recording and it was really cool.  Most the songs were kicking around since 1996 and show that I was just learning to crawl as far as being a singer.

  1. Supermercado (2:32)
  2. Absolute (3:12)
  3. Deprived of Sex (3:18)
  4. Hott Stuff (2:34)
  5. Wintergirl (3:19)
  6. Bored as Hell (3:24)
  7. Mirror Image (4:10)
  8. Dormitory (4:56)
  9. Upper-Class Woman (4:31) (featuring Paul Opalach)

Dormitory
Recorded, Mixed, & Mastered by Paul Opalach at Long Hill Recording Studios.
